Hey janex-
that`s a quite good idea- I will open that book group yesterday in the evening I started to read "crabwalk" from gunther grass- some german author. My pen pale Piotrek from Poland recommended to me, think you don`t know Grass, in the US he is`nt so popular like in europe. Sun is shining- I will go out with my lovely dog- What are you doin today?

hey janex-
yeah think so too, we discussed that and there are many parables and the structure of the whole story seems to be the same somehow. For example in each novel are rulers controlling everything, there is also a fictive war in each story, but there are differences too. I suppose it is imposible to compare the political, economical and social network. What do you think? Or will that lead to nothing? :-)
