I think its been four long years using Paper Mate when it comes to pens. You want quality, long user rights, non-messy pens usage, comfortable feel, easy buying & low cost. I want to recommend this pen with only one negative result which lowers review to only 4**** here @ BP. NEGATIVES (((1)))... The cost is high on these great pens, over $20 bucks every time I buy them... (((2)))... They only last one full year on regular uses... (((3)))... Sometimes you'll get one that dries up on ink level 8% rate here on 4 buys. (((4)))... Not good on fabrics, hard to remove or clean (keep away from children). POSSITIVES (((1)))... Pocket clips on pens makes them transportable. (((2)))... 16 different colors which is super great. (((3)))... All pens have contoured grip for hours of use. (((4)))... Ink colors are excellent on vivid hues for overlaps. (((5)))... You can overlap colors because colors have quick dry time. (((6)))... As I mentioned fast dry-time means no bleeding on paper sources. (((7)))... Durable plastic material means long life to pens. COLORS IN 16 PACK Black / Blue / Green / Lilac / Lime / Magenta / Marigold / Navy / Pink / Plum / Purple / Red / Sky Blue / Tangerine & Yellow. I was using these for my landscaping drawings and sometimes for my own plans in my garden beds. Pens draw nicely and quickly dries for easy storage on documents pens used on. I didn't get sick on any smell from pens, I have them right here in front of me right now and the cap is off two of them the smell is very low. The caps can stay off pens for hours without worry on ink level inside pens drum like space. I even left one pen out for one day and it still marked on a piece of paper. The pens have great innovation on tips, no damaged tips yet (bad tips can ball up and lose the tip point). These pens keep the points very well. Sometimes when a pen has had it it's hard to throw them away when they look so new still after a years usage. I'm looking at a drawing that was four months ago Novemeber 16, 2008 marked at top, and compared to a paper I just marked on the colors when comparing them both look like todays drawings so no hard fading to colors over months time. Even storage has no bearing on color control from ink. I believe these are the best pens so far when it comes to this type ink pen. Landscaper's should have these pens, each color marks natural almost. The colors have a flair to them adding interest and noticement to any or all that involve. I know the price might seem high but sixteen colors in one pack @ $20 for one pack is considerably a deal to me and some consumers may not share the same consideration. Just take it from a landscaper and no your getting the best compliment. I have purchased them from three different retailers so location wise for buying isn't to hard to find. I find them online now with free S&H so I haven't gone out local to buy them for the last two years. Skin marks are easy to get out using WD-40. Clothing stains not so easy, so use careful uses if your wearing any fabric you don't want marked up. Desk or other surfaces which are smooth or non-pourous can clean up easy, wood on the other hand is a huge mistake to use these pens on or near so remember that. To me it's not important to get pen marks but those who care should understand that these pens may leave permanent marks. I rated 4**** review based on my personal uses. I think these pens are excellent give them a try. Now they do sell them in 10 / 12 packs for a cheaper price with just the same cool colors but less shades offered. |
