Tapping

The tapping within the community resembles a virtual greeting. Has somebody tapped you, he or she basically simply welcomed or greeted you in a very friendly way. Simply tap the member back if you would like to return the greeting or hide it if you don’t want the member to tap you again.

In order to tap someone, simply visit the profile of the member you would like to greet. In the left area of the navigation bar you will find the function “Tap”. Click this link and you will be able to see instantly if your tap has been sent out.
Always keep in mind that you can tap every member only once and that he or she has to tap you back first before you can tap the member again.

First of all, log in to “My Page”. In the right area of “My Page” right under your profile image you can see all your latest news at a glance.
Here you also find your “taps”. So simply click your “taps” and you will be directed to your “Tapping Overview” where you can find all members that left a virtual greeting for you. Tap back by simply clicking “Tap back” on the right next to the respective member or delete the greeting by simply clicking “Hide”.
The tapping overview can be reached as well by the way, simply by clicking “Messages” in the left main navigation and then choosing the tab “Taps”.

Tapping someone is a great opportunity to leave other members a virtual greeting and can be used in the most different situations, for example for a fast and easy contact among the members or simply as a nice gesture.
Moreover, every “tap” earns you one community point.
